About the project
A recording of a two-hour lecture is not notes. It is the same problem in a different format. NoteGPT closes that gap by taking the recording through transcription and then into structured output: a summary, study notes, a mind map, flashcards and a quiz generated from what was actually said.
It also takes input that is not audio. Upload a PDF, paste a web link, photograph a page or scan a document, and the same pipeline applies. Output can be exported to PDF, organised into folders, translated, or interrogated through chat when a specific point needs chasing down.
What we did
DPRR develops the app on iOS and Android, shipping continuously. Version 2.10.2 went out on 26 July 2026.
The engineering centre of gravity is the pipeline: capture, transcription, and the generation step that turns a transcript into several different study formats without the user managing any of it.

- Organisation — Folders, search, pinning and bulk actions across a growing note library.
- Export and translation — PDF export across every generated format, plus note translation.
- Subscriptions — Paywall, trials and restore-purchase handling.
How it is built
Subscriptions run through RevenueCat and product analytics through PostHog. The marketing site is a separate WordPress build behind Cloudflare, deliberately decoupled from app releases.
